Eric Austin Williams

UPM 2nd AD

In 2019 Eric was the unit production manager for the USA unit of the Netflix show The Umbrella Academy, directed by Amanda Marsalis and produced by Ted Miller.  He also served as the unit production manager for the USA filmed portion of the feature film The Program (2015), filmed in Austin, Texas.  Directed by Stephen Frears and produced by Tracey Seaward, starring Ben Foster, Lee Pace, Chris O'Dowd and Dustin Hoffman.

In 2014 Eric was selected by ABC to be the unit production manager on the TV series Astronaut Wives Club.  He subsequently prepped for three months on the project in Houston, Texas.

Before that Eric was the executive producer and unit production manager on the independent feature film Frontera (2014), shot on location in New Mexico. Directed by Michael Berry, produced by Mike Witherill, and starring Ed Harris, Michael Pena and Eva Longoria.

In 2012 Eric served as the line producer on A Night In Old Mexico, directed by Emilio Aragon and starring Robert Duvall, Jeremy Irvine and Luis Tosar, filmed in the border town of Brownsville, Texas.

From 2005 to 2009 Eric Williams served as in-house producer/production manager for Tommy Lee Jones's Javelina Film Company in San Antonio, Texas.

In 2007 Eric served as co-producer and unit production manager on a special feature length episode of the British television crime series Wire In The Blood: Prayer of The Bone. The production was filmed entirely in Austin, Texas and surrounding area and was broadcast on BBC America, and in the United Kingdom on ITV. The episode was nominated at the "ITV Crime Thriller of the Year" awards for 2008 and won an Edgar Allen Poe Award in 2009 for best teleplay.

In 2004 Eric served as the line producer/unit production manager on the theatrical feature film The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, directed by and starring Tommy Lee Jones. Michael Fitzgerald and Tommy Lee Jones produced the film with Luc Besson through Mr. Besson's company Europa Corp. The film won prizes for Best Screenplay (Guillermo Arriaga) and Best Actor (Tommy Lee Jones) at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival. 

Before The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, Eric served as the assistant unit production manager on the Revolution Studios film Man of the House, directed by Stephen Herek and starring Tommy Lee Jones.

Eric Williams has over twenty years of film and television production experience.  He has been a member of the Directors Guild of America since 1993, and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio-Television-Film from The University of Texas at Austin.
