September 8, 2014

Santa Monica City TV has selected DGA members Dianne Bartlow, Marty Elcan and Melanie Wagor to direct public service announcements for their upcoming PSA video project for three Santa Monica-based non-profit organizations: Bread and Roses, Step Up on Second and OPCC.

The series is a co-production of the DGA Women's Steering Committee and the City of Santa Monica cable television channel, CityTV. DGA Director-member Mary Lou Belli and CityTV Station Manager Robin Gee will serve as Executive Producers.

Each Director will be responsible for the production of the video piece, including putting together a creative team, research, scriptwriting, production coordination, location scouting, obtaining volunteer talent, obtaining releases, directing, logging, paper editing, and supervising the on-line edit.

The individual videos will be completed and aired on CityTV by December 31, 2014 so that they can be Emmy eligible. The finished videos will air on CityTV, the government access cable television channel for the City of Santa Monica and will also air on CityTV's digital broadcast television channel.
