DGA Membership Meeting in New Orleans

NOLA Meeting 2014

September 6, 2014

The first-ever DGA membership meeting and dinner in New Orleans, Louisiana took place on September 6, 2014. The meeting was part of the Guild’s ongoing efforts to better serve members residing outside Los Angeles and New York and provided an opportunity for these members to network with their peers, meet DGA staff, and hear what the Guild is doing to protect and extend their creative and economic rights.

Approximately 35 members from all over the area were in attendance as DGA Associate Eastern Executive Director Neil J. Dudich reported on the current state of the Guild and its activities, including a report on the new Basic Agreement and FLTTA. The attendees also heard a report on the local area from Field Representative Steven Knauss, who is responsible for covering all of Louisiana. Members contributed to the discussion during an open forum section where questions were addressed and comments welcomed.

The meeting was also attended by CSATTF instructor and veteran 1st AD Bob Lewis and New York DGA Training Program Administrator Sandra Forman who earlier in the day led a Safety Pass Training session on the industry-mandated rules regarding workplace safety.
