On September 28, the Fourth Annual Directors Guild Foundation (DGF) Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament took place at DGA headquarters in Los Angeles. The tables filled and the excitement built as 250 DGA members, guests and sponsors assembled for an evening of fun and competition.
Following a welcome by DGA President Paris Barclay, Tournament Co-Chairs Donald Petrie and Gil Cates, Jr. acknowledged the work of the tournament’s host committee, the contributions by an impressive list of sponsors, and thanked all the individuals whose participation made the evening possible.
After several hours of friendly play, the finalists’ table was winnowed down to two: Eric Erenstoft, a guest of DGA 1st AD-member Kevin Koster, and John Asher, a guest DGA Director-member Rebecca Asher. Erenstoft drew the winning hand and was awarded the grand prize package which included the 2013 DGF Poker Tournament Champion Bracelet, a seat in a 2013 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Texas Hold’em Event in Las Vegas along with a three-night stay at the tournament site, the Rio Hotel and Resort in Las Vegas, and other prizes.
