Los Angeles – The Directors Guild of America has set its schedule for the 65th Annual DGA Awards, DGA President Taylor Hackford announced. The 65th Annual DGA Awards Dinner will take place on Saturday, February 2, 2013 in the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland in Los Angeles.
This year, for the first time, all voting will take place online. DGA members can vote online between December 4, 2012 – January 7, 2013 for Feature Film Nomination; between December 17, 2012 – January 7, 2013 for Television Nominations for Comedy Series, Dramatic Series, Movies for Television and Mini-Series, and Musical Variety; and between January 10 – February 1, 2013 for Feature Film Final Ballot.

The DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film has traditionally been the industry’s most accurate barometer for who will win the Best Director Academy Award. The DGA Award winner has won the corresponding Best Director Academy Award 58 out of 64 times since the DGA Award’s inception in 1949.
