In our on-going efforts to provide our members with the most optimal theatrical viewing experiences, the DGA is upgrading both audio and projection systems in the Los Angeles Theater complex in the Spring of 2019.
These upgrades will include the installation of the Dolby Vision projection system and the Dolby Atmos system, which is considered the gold standard for state-of-the art screening rooms. We will also be upgrading our 35mm and 70mm feature film projection systems. Additionally, the renovation will include replacing the theater complex’s 30-year-old HVAC system.
These renovations are scheduled to begin in March and finish in September. During this period, all DGA screenings will take place at an alternate venue. Once completed, these improvements will not only better serve our members during DGA screenings and events, but also continue the standard of our theater as a top-of-the-line venue in Los Angeles.
