If you are an Assistant Director, Unit Production Manager, Associate Director or Stage Manager working in the US on a project covered by the Basic Agreement (BA) or the Freelance Live & Tape Television Agreement (FLTTA) you must take Safety Pass Training to maintain your work eligibility.

Safety Pass Training is available online. If you are an existing member who has not yet taken the training, you may have already received an email from the DGA with Online Safety Training registration instructions and your unique PIN that will enable you to log on. If you did not receive this email, please contact Lavetta Morgan at the DGA (LMorgan@dga.org).

As of July 1, 2017, if you have yet to complete Safety Pass training, the new requirements are as follows:
  • Assistant Directors, Unit Production Managers, Associate Directors and Stage Managers working in California shall have 90 days from their initial date of DGA-covered employment to successfully complete the Safety Pass Training Course.
  • Assistant Directors, Unit Production Managers, Associate Directors and Stage Managers working outside of California shall have until December 31, 2017 or 90 days from their initial date of DGA-covered employment (whichever is later) to successfully complete the Safety Pass Training Course.

Members who have already completed the Safety Pass Training course are exempt from these new requirements.
