On June 10, nearly 70 DGA members attended the fourth-ever DGA membership meeting in Atlanta, Georgia. The gathering was an opportunity for these members to network with their peers, meet Eastern Executive Director Neil J. Dudich and Senior Field Representative Bart Daudelin, hear updates about the newly negotiated DGA Basic Agreement that is going into effect in July, and learn more about what the Guild is doing to protect and extend their creative and economic rights.
Dudich and Daudelin reported on the current state of the Guild and its activities, as well as local matters and invited the attendees to contribute to the discussion during an open forum section where questions were answered and comments welcomed.
The meeting was preceded by a new member orientation presented by Director Angela Barnes Gomes, 1st AD Jason Inman, and 2nd ADs Yor-El Francis, Renée Hill-Sweet and Kristina Peterson. The orientation was attended by 23 members eager to learn more about their Guild and hear further information from these experienced members and Dudich and Daudelin.
