DGA Membership Meeting in Atlanta, GA

DGA ATL meeting 2014

May 31, 2014

As part of the Guild’s ongoing efforts to serve members residing outside Los Angeles and New York, Associate Eastern Executive Director Neil J. Dudich, together with Senior Field Representative Bart Daudelin, recently conducted the first-ever DGA membership meeting and dinner in Atlanta, Georgia on May 31.

With film and television production in Georgia at an all-time high, the meeting provided an opportunity for these members to network with their peers, meet DGA staff, and hear what the Guild is doing to protect and extend their creative and economic rights.

Approximately 60 members from all over the area were in attendance as Dudich reported on the current state of the Guild and its activities, including a report on the new Basic Agreement and FLTTA and upcoming commercial negotiations. The attendees also heard a report on the local area from Field Representative Bart Daudelin, who has responsibility for covering all of Georgia. Members contributed to the discussion during an open forum section where questions were addressed and comments welcomed.

Also on hand were CSATTF instructor and veteran 1st AD Bob Lewis and New York DGA Training Program Administrator Sandra Forman who earlier in the day led a Safety Pass Training session on the industry-mandated rules regarding workplace safety.
