As part of the Guild’s ongoing efforts to serve members residing outside Los Angeles and New York, Associate National Executive Director/Eastern Executive Director Russell Hollander recently conducted a Washington, DC area membership meeting on Thursday, July 11.
The meeting took place at Maggiano’s restaurant and provided the opportunity for members working in and around our nation’s capital to voice their concerns and ask questions. Hollander also reported to the members about the current state of the Guild and its activities, including the upcoming negotiations, legislative activities, and the effect of developments in the new media market upon members.
DGA-Producer Pension and Health Plans CEO Lisa Read was also present to provide information on the Plans. Ms. Read also conducted one-on-one half-hour appointments with plan participants to address their individual questions and concerns earlier in the day.
