New York AD Training Program Announces New Trainees & Graduates

The New York Assistant Director Training Program is designed to provide opportunities for a limited number of individuals to become Assistant Directors in Film, Film Television & Commercial production. This is a two year program consisting of up to 350 days of on-the-job training combined with seminars and special assignments.

The ADTP recently announced the names of those accepted to the 2012 Program. The new film trainees are Michael Buonanno, Joe Landry, Kristina Massie, Erika McGowan, and Jennifer Winterbotham. The new commercial trainees are Dave Ebel, Jamie Gustis and Henriette Ohno in New York and Don Johnson and Tim Pelletier in Los Angeles.

During this two-year program, these trainees will participate in on-the-job training, along with seminars and special assignments. They will become employees of a wide variety of feature films, TV series and commercials shot primarily in the New York City vicinity working under the supervision of DGA AD/UPM members until completing the program.

Congratulations are also in order to New York Film Program graduates Emma Barber, Alyssa Frankel, Mari Martinez, Mike McGuirk, Dixon McPhillips and Aidan Tumas; and New York Commercial Program graduates Gabriel Blom, Alfonso Graham and Ian Lynch; and Los Angeles Commercial Program graduates Shirley Lee and Aaron Paulson, all of whom are now qualified to join the Guild as 2nd ADs.
