ABOUT COL•COA

City of Lights • City of Angels (COL•COA) presents an eclectic array of the latest French productions, showcasing the vitality and the diversity of the third largest film industry in the world. All films are presented for the first time in Los Angeles, including U.S. and North American premieres.

FOCUS ON A FILMMAKER 2012: JULIE DELPY

This year, COL•COA will honor Director Julie Delpy on April 19th, with a premiere of her new film The Skylab, a special screening of 2 Days in Paris and a one-hour conversation with her as part of the COL•COA Happy Hour Talks, a series of industry discussions followed by a complimentary reception.

COL•COA CLASSICS

COL•COA gave Director Alexander Payne carte blanche to program one of his favorite French films in the 2012 Classics series. His choice is Marcel Carné’s iconic 1938 romantic drama Hôtel Du Nord, starring Louis Jouvet and Arletty.

There will also be a special screening of Le Sauvage (1975), directed by Jean-Paul Rappeneau, starring Yves Montand and Catherine Deneuve. The film was restored by the Cinemathèque française, in partnership with the Franco-American Cultural Fund.
