The 15th Annual Howard W. Koch Memorial DGA Golf Tournament and the 8th Annual DGA Tennis Tournament were benefits for the Directors Guild Foundation (DGF).  For sixty-two years the DGF has maintained a proud tradition of service by providing confidential loans to Directors Guild of America members who are facing short-term financial hardship.

In addition to assisting individual DGA Members experiencing financial hardship, the Foundation also contributes to the Motion Picture & Television Fund, supporting clinics and programs to better serve our many members and their families who use them.  The Foundation also supports the good work of The Actors Fund. The Foundation has also been the sole underwriter of the DGA-Motion Picture Industry Conservation Collection at UCLA. This significant collection, composed of 1,592 feature films directed by DGA members, ensures that this work is archived and preserved for future generations.

“This important work could not be done without your support,” said DGF First Vice Chairman Gene Reynolds during his address to the tournament participants, reminding them that acts of generosity allow the DGF to continue providing assistance to Guild members in need.
