From September 23 to October 2, 2021, the 37th edition of the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival (LAAPFF) presented a program of 31 feature-length films and 105 short films, filmmaker Q&As and online panels at various venues around Los Angeles. At the festival’s September 24 reception, Asian American Committee (AAC) Co-Chair Kai Kim (The Young & the Restless) joined Visual Communications Executive Director Francis Collazo to welcome filmmakers with projects in this year’s LAAPFF. Kai congratulated them for their films’ being chosen for the festival and invited them to speak to him about the advantages of Guild membership.
