Rosemary Rodriguez’s Silver Skies

Rosemary Rodriguez discusses Silver Skies

October 5, 2016 A DGA Q&A in Los Angeles

“You can never be too old for new beginnings,” is the motto for Director Rosemary Rodriguez’s new feature, Silver Skies. In the film a group of eccentric retirees find their lives turned upside down when they learn that their beloved apartment complex is being converted to condominiums and informed that they’ll have 30 days to either buy or move out.

Following the DGA membership screening in Los Angeles on October 5, Rodriguez sat down with Director Arthur Allan Seidelman (Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks), to discuss the making of Silver Skies and the joys of working with a cast that reads like a who’s who of film and television including George Hamilton, Valerie Perrine, Alex Rocco, Barbara Bain, Mariette Hartley, and Howard Hesseman.

In addition to Silver Skies, Rodriguez’s credits include the feature film Acts of Worship; the movie for television Pregnancy Pact; and episodes of the series Third Watch, Rescue Me, Hawthorne, Empire, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Good Wife and Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll. A DGA member since 2004, Rodriguez also serves as the Fourth Vice President of the Guild.
