The joys and pains of middle-age dating is the focus of Director Nicole Holofcener’s new romantic comedy Enough Said.
In the film, Eva (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) – a divorced single parent dreading the impending departure of her only child – finds her budding romance with a sweet, funny and like-minded man (James Gandolfini) complicated when she discovers that her new friend/ massage client (Catherine Keener) is his ex-wife who constantly complains about his foibles.
After the Los Angeles membership screening on October 1, Holofcener sat down with Actor/Director Jeff Garlin (Dealin' with Idiots) for a discussion about writing and directing Enough Said.
Holofcener’s other works include the feature films Walking and Talking, Lovely & Amazing, Please Give, and Friends with Money; the movie for television I Hate That I Love You; and episodes of television series such as Parks and Recreation, Enlightened, Six Feet Under, and Sex and the City. She has been a DGA member since 1998.
