Director Alexander Payne (Sideways; About Schmidt) spoke to the audiences about the making of his new comedic drama The Descendants.
In the film a workaholic (George Clooney) is forced to examine his life as he attempts to reconnect with his two daughters during a trip from Oahu to Kauai to confront the lover of his neglected wife — who is now on life support after an accident.
Payne discussed the film with Director Robert Benton (Feast of Love), who moderated the Q&A in New York on November 19, and Director Robert Weide (How to Lose Friends and Alienate People), who moderated the Los Angeles discussion on November 21.
