Ethnic Diversity Steering Committee

An Evening of AD & UPM Networking

November 17, 2010 An Ethnic Diversity Steering Committee Event

On November 17, the DGA's Ethnic Diversity Steering Committee (EDSC) hosted a networking event at the Guild's New York building. The invitation-only event introduced qualified female Assistant Directors and Assistant Directors of color to leading Unit Production Managers working in episodic television and film in the New York City area. The event was part of the Guild's ongoing push to improve diversity in the industry.

The evening began with a cocktail reception followed by introductions from EDSC Co-Chairs Daniel Cooperbey and Zetna Fuentes and DGA Assistant Executive Director Neil Dudich. The event then broke into a series of brief meetings during which the Assistant Directors were able to meet one-on-one with the Unit Production Managers of their choice. The participating Unit Production Managers were:

  • Richard Baratta (Too Big To Fail, The Smurfs)
  • Moshe Bardach (Burn Notice, Law & Order)
  • James Bigwood (Mercy, The Black Donnellys)
  • Chris Brigham (The Avengers, Inception)
  • William Carraro (Tower Heist, The Wolfman)
  • Celia Costas (Taking Woodstock, Doubt)
  • Anthony Katagas (Abduction, The Next Three Days)
  • Dana Kuznetzkoff (Boardwalk Empire, Fringe)
  • Michael Sledd (The Art of Love, Detachment)
  • Greer Yeaton (In Treatment, Bored to Death)
