See the latest film from the internationally renowned director of Z, State of Siege and Missing, and hear him discuss the making of this controversial historical thriller – the true World War II story of the SS officer who tried to inform the Vatican about the atrocities in Nazi concentration camps.

Greek-born, Parisian-based filmmaker Konstantinos Gavras – better known to the world as Costa-Gavras – almost single-handedly created the genre of conscience cinema with his landmark 1968 film, Z. His presentation of complex heroes and heroines who are conflicted but ultimately devoted to their principles makes his work personally compelling and politically challenging. With their painstaking care to authenticity and impeccable production values, Costa-Gavras' films plunge audiences into the highly-charged moral universe his characters inhabit – where those in power can turn a blind eye and good intentions may be crushed in the cogs of bureaucracy.

Join with fellow DGA members for a rare opportunity to converse with the filmmaker famed for knowing how to pin audiences to their seats before hitting them with the truth.
