"Foreign film and TV incentives are hurting America's communities, small businesses and film professionals. Today, even films written specifically for our state are being lured away by promises of multi-million-dollar payments from Canada and other countries. The United States Independent Film and Television Production Incentive Act of 2001 will help our state, and our country, better compete in this more globalized film economy."

"We've all done a great job in getting the bill introduced, and I'm really proud of our Pennsylvania senator. The hard part lies ahead, however. We must have a bi-partisan coalition in both houses to get this important legislation passed into law. An entire industry is at stake."
