Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS):
A non-profit corporation representing more than 11,000 members, ATAS is devoted to the advancement of telecommunications arts and sciences and to fostering creative leadership in the telecommunications industry.


American Federation of Television and Radio Artists
(AFTRA):
A national labor union representing over 80,000 actors and other performers nationwide in entertainment, news and commercial programming in the television, radio, sound recordings and new media industries.


American Film Marketing Association (AFMA):
AFMA represents more than 170 independent producers and distributors of motion pictures and television programming and the financial institutions that provide funding for independent production. AFMA members total sales in 2000 exceeded $3.3 billion.


Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP):
With a membership numbering 620, the AICP represent, exclusively, the interests of United States companies that specialize in producing commercials on various media - film, video, computer - for advertisers and agencies.

Association of Independent Video and Filmmakers (AIVF): Established by a group of independent filmmakers to offer support and resources to independent artists, today, with nearly 5,000 members internationally, AIVF has not only been in the forefront of many media advocacy efforts, but it has been serving individuals and the field at large through its commitment to supporting artists throughout their entire career.


Southern California Chapter of the Association of Imaging Technology and Sound (ITS):
With approximately 100 member companies, the Southern California Chapter of ITS is part of the national trade association of companies providing professional creative and technical services in video, audio, film, Internet content and communications media. They companies typically are privately held small businesses with annual revenues of $2 million - $10 million.


Directors Guild of America (DGA):
Representing more than 12,000 members of the directorial team (directors, unit production managers, assistant directors, associate directors, technical coordinators, stage managers and production associates) who work in feature film, filmed, taped and live television, commercials and documentaries. The DGA fights continuously for the economic and creative rights of its members.


Entertainment Industry Development Corporation (EIDC):
The Entertainment Industry Development Corporation promotes Los Angeles to the entertainment industry. It is a full-service one-stop for the production community, with services that include pre-production planning, streamlined processing and coordination of approvals for on-location shoots, neighborhood notifications, and liaison and advocacy with public officials on issues relating to filming.


Film U.S.:
Representing nearly 200 film commissioners from across the United States, it is the long awaited response to the need for an industry-wide voice at the federal level to curb the migration of production related work to outside the country. This is an unprecedented effort on behalf of filming and those who work on films and includes the guilds, organized labor and independent production companies. Film U.S. is focused on one basic agenda: making motion pictures easier to produce in the United States.


International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE):
The IATSE is the labor union representing over 102,020 members who are technicians, artisans and craftspersons in the entertainment industry, including live theatre, film and television production, and trade shows.


Producers Guild of America (PGA):
Representing more than 1,300 members of the Producing Team (from Production Coordinators on up), including the interests of a substantial number of major producers in the motion picture and television industries.


Production Equipment Rental Association (PERA):
PERA is a global trade association representing more than 200 members who are among the top suppliers of professional film/motion picture and video/television production and postproduction rental equipment. PERA members also include insurance brokers, trade show producers, magazine and directory publishers, business systems and management consultants and other companies who support the production industry.


Recording Musicians Association (RMA):
Representing more than 2,000 members, RMA monitors transactions affecting the livelihoods of professional recording musicians.


Screen Actors Guild (SAG):
Representing more than 98,000 professional actors and performing artists working nationwide in theatrical features and television films, programs, and commercials.


Theatrical and Television Motion Picture Special Payments Fund: The Fund serves individual musicians who work on motion picture scores of American Federation of Musicians (AFM) covered pictures. The Fund collects and disburses to the musicians a pro-rata share of the revenue generated from each AFM covered picture they have worked on proportional to their participation in the picture.


U.S. Conference of Mayors:
Although not a formal member of the Alliance, they are an active supporter. The 69th Conference of USCM adopted the "Runaway Film Production Resolution," in support of the wage tax credit and related efforts. The U.S. Conference of Mayors is the official nonpartisan organization of cities with populations of 30,000 or more. There are about 1,100 such cities in the country today.


Writers Guild of America, west:
The WGAw represents over 8,000 writers in the motion picture, broadcast, cable and new technologies industries. WGAw members also write news, animation, non-fiction and documentary programming.
