DGA Sponsored Festivals
- AFI FEST is one of the nation's fastest-growing film events and the premier international film festival in Los Angeles. AFI FEST captures the cultural diversity of Los Angeles and provides new and established filmmakers with a crucial avenue of exposure to the film community, while celebrating the accomplishments of filmmakers worldwide.
- City of Lights/City of Angels - Each April, passionate francophiles reserve time to attend the West Coast's leading showcase for contemporary French films.
- IFP/Los Angeles Film Festival - a program of IFP/West showcasing independent North American feature and short films, documentaries, and music videos
- IFP/Market - a selective presentation of narrative and documentary projects where accepted filmmakers gain access to industry leaders via theatrical screenings, targeted networking meetings, special events, seminars on the art and business of filmmaking, and have the opportunity to compete for awards.
- Pan African Film Festival - Established in 1992, The Pan African Film Festival (PAFF) is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the promotion of cultural and racial tolerance and understanding through the exhibition of film, art and creative expression.
- Outfest - builds bridges among audiences, filmmakers and the entertainment industry through the exhibition of high-quality gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender-themed films and videos.
- Slamdance Film Festival - showcases films by first-time directors who have made lower budgeted films that do not have domestic distribution.
- South by Southwest Film Festival and Conference(SXSW) - nine nights largely devoted to independent productions as well as works from established directors who have inspired the latest generation of filmmakers. The conference portion of SXSW Film has been described as a five-day crash course on guerilla filmmaking and marketing. Hosted by indie film professionals, the panel discussions, workshops, and mentor sessions will explore every facet of the do-it-yourself feature from pre-production to marketing.
- Sundance Film Festival - celebrates work at the forefront of independent cinema.
- Tribeca Film Festival - founded in 2002 by the Tribeca Film Institute, the Tribeca Film Festival celebrates New York City as a major filmmaking center and contributes to the long-term recovery of lower Manhattan. The festival includes a wide array of special events, compelling panel discussions, and more than 200 U.S. and international feature, documentary, and short films--many in their world premieres.
- Urbanworld - competitively showcases films about multicultural urban life.
- VC Film Fest - promotes Asian and Asian Pacific American fictional and documentary cinema.
