This was Jeff Bleckner's fourth DGA nomination. He was previously nominated for The Beach Boys: An American Family in 2000 and went on to win the DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Movies for Television that year; he was also nominated for Do You Remember Love? in 1985. "Life in the Minors," Hill Street Blues garnered him the nomination and DGA Award for Television, Dramatic Series Night in 1983.


Rod Holcomb

This was Rod Holcomb's third DGA nomination. He was nominated for ER (pilot) in 1994 and went on to win the DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Movies for Television that year. He was also nominated for China Beach (pilot) in 1988.


Richard Loncraine

This was Richard Loncraine's second DGA nomination. He was also nominated in 2002 for The Gathering Storm.
