www.dga.org is the official website of the Directors Guild of America. The site serves both members and the general public with current Guild news, events and information and has grown to more than 2,000 pages. Pinpointing information on such a large site may seem daunting. To that end, we have put together some tips and facts about the DGA website that we hope will make your visit a more efficient and enjoyable experience.
|
 |

The DGA website recently added several new direct links on the homepage for quicker access to some of the site's most popular features. Now browser may search for DGA members, see if a film was produced under a DGA contract, check the status of the DGA's ongoing fight against runaway production, or get to the forms an information necessary to hire DGA members by a click of a button on the homepage. These new links are the blue buttons located directly beneath the second picture window on the left-hand side of www.dga.org.
Now for some quick tips to make your DGA website experience more productive.
- Clicking the DGA logo located in the upper left corner of any page of the DGA website, returns you to either the public site homepage if you're surfing the public site, or the members only site homepage if you're browsing the DGA M/O site.
- DGA rate cards are available online in the contracts section of the DGA website. The rate cards are available in both HTML (web page) format and as PDFs formatted for printing. Look for them on the DGA Forms page of the Contracts section of the public site, or in the Document Center of the DGA Members Only site.
- Did you know you can find contact information to your category council members and officers on the individual council pages of the DGA Members Only website? Keeping in touch with your category council is a good way to keep abreast of what's happening in the industry.
- Information about the Qualifications Lists can be found on the various Contracts Administration sites located on the DGACA page of the Affiliates section.

Finding the Information You Need
|
|
- Using the Sitemap
The sitemap also displays the organizational structure of the DGA website. A quick scan of it will provide users with a good idea of the location of whatever information they are seeking and transport them there with the ease of a click. (Note: the public sitemap does not reveal information posted on the Members Only website and vice versa.)
- Using the Search Engine
If you still cannot locate the information you are seeking, the website features a powerful search engine keyed to the main areas. Simply type in the keyword you are seeking such as "rate cards" and a pop-up window will appear with links to pages containing the information you are seeking.
