As the DGA PAC and the Leadership Council support continues to grow, so do the Leadership Council meetings with prominent members of Congress. These meetings, which take place at the Guild, have proven to be a special opportunity for members of Congress to hear our unique perspective on legislative issues that affect our Guild from runaway production, to copyright protection and creator's rights, to media consolidation and health care. Our 2003 meetings are well underway.

-
DGA, along with the other members of the Illinois Production Alliance, succeeded in passing a wage-credit incentive bill in Illinois.
- DGA, an active member of the New York Production Alliance, gave strong support to SB 3941, a bill which relaxes the current personal income tax burden on industry creative talent who move in and out of NY for film work. Bill passes both NY Assembly and Senate.

| The DGA PAC (Political Action Committee) ensures that the voice of the Guild is heard when important issues that affect the economic and creative livelihood of our members are being decided in Washington and in State Capitols. The DGA PAC Leadership Council includes many of the Guild's most prominent members who personally represent the concerns of our membership in face-to-face meetings with members of Congress. To join the Leadership Council, members contribute $1,200 annually to the DGA PAC.
