www.dga.org is the official website of the Directors Guild of America. The site serves both members and the general public with current Guild news, events and information and has grown to more than 2,000 pages. Pinpointing information on such a large site may seem daunting. To that end, we have put together some tips and facts about the DGA website that we hope will make your visit a more efficient and enjoyable experience.
The Basics

The DGA website is divided into a public site and a members only website accessible only to DGA members in good standing. Each site has its own homepage, navigation bar (located at the bottom blue bar of each page) and site map (located in the top blue bar beneath the search window.) Access to the Members Only website is granted by clicking the "Members Only Website" and filling in the proper username and password on the pop-up window. If you do not know your username and password, click the "Need Help" link for more information.

Handy Tips & Website Facts
  1. Did you know that the members only calendar of events is posted to the members only website before the printed version is mailed? Hyper-linked PDF versions of the printed calendars are also available on the calendar page. The calendar is the first main link on the navigation bar of the DGA members only website.

  2. Did you know that the production lists and availability lists are updated to the DGA members only website every Thursday afternoon? The availability lists are located in the document center of the Members Only website. Members seeking to be added to the availability lists should contact Michael Hencin in the DGA Administration office.

  3. Did you know you can download Deal memos and signatory forms straight from the DGA website? These documents are available as PDFs formatted for printing and located in the "Document Center" on the DGA Members Only website. These items are also available in the "Contracts" section of the DGA public website.

Finding the Information You Need
  • Using the Sitemap
The sitemap also displays the organizational structure of the DGA website. A quick scan of it will provide users with a good idea of the location of whatever information they are seeking and transport them there with the ease of a click. (Note: the public sitemap does not reveal information posted on the Members Only website and vice versa.)

  • Using the Search Engine
If you still cannot locate the information you are seeking, the website features a powerful search engine keyed to the main areas. Simply type in the keyword you are seeking such as "rate cards" and a pop-up window will appear with links to pages containing the information you are seeking.

Locating "What's New"
  • The "What's New" Page
The first page of the sitemap area is a compendium of recent items posted to the public website. If you haven't visited www.dga.org recently, this page might be a good place to start.

  • The Members Only Spotlight
Links to recently posted items of interest for DGA members only are frequently posted in the "Spotlight" area of the Members Only homepage.

  • The Ezine
Coverage of events that fall in between publications of DGA Magazine is posted in the new Ezine. These stories are accessible from links on the rotating windows on the homepage, the sitemap's "What's New" page, or by navigating directly to the Ezine page located in the "News" section.
