DGA Scrapbook

Director Bob Fosse (left), cinematographer Robert Surtees (center) and 2nd AD Art Levinson (right) on the set of Sweet Charity in 1968. Fosse would later win the Best Directing Oscar in 1972 for Cabaret, though he was beat out for the DGA Award by Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather. Still, Fosse did not walk home empty-handed from the DGA Awards; he won for Musical/Variety (and later three Emmys) for his direction of the TV special Liza With a Z.
