In honor of the 50th Anniversary of the 1954 Brown vs. Board of Education Supreme Court Decision, the Directors Guild of America invites you and a guest to a special screening of the riveting 90-minute court sequence from George Stevens, Jr.'s Separate But Equal.

The film, starring Sidney Poitier as Thurgood Marshall, won the Emmy for Outstanding Miniseries in 1991, and revealed the inner workings of a sharply divided Supreme Court as it wrestled to reach consensus for the ruling that would ignite a new civil rights movement nearly 100 years after the end of the civil war
