Director Arnaud Desplechin speaks about the making of his documentary L’Aimée. - photos by Marcie Revens - click images for larger views.

On Thursday, October 11, the DGA Special Project Committee’s Global Cinema Series screened Director Arnaud Desplechin’s documentary feature L’Aimée (The Loved One).

The film follows Desplechin’s father who is filled with inexplicable memories of his own mother who died when he was just an infant, in the aftermath of selling and moving out of the family house.

L’Aimée was an official selection of the 2007 Venice Film Festival Horizons Documentary Section.

Following the screening, Director Arnaud Desplechin discussed the making of the film with Director Debbie Elbin (Apologies to Bunuel) who served as moderator.
