During the luncheon, DGA director-member Gina Prince-Bythewood (Love and Basketball, The Secret Life of Bees) shared her personal experiences as a filmmaker and spoke to the attendees about the advantage of Guild membership.

The Urbanworld Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to redefining the role of minorities in contemporary cinema and developing the urban filmmaking community. The DGA has been a sponsor of the festival since 2000.
