On June 30, the San Francisco Coordinating Committee Executive Committee hosted their "Fifth Annual Mid-summer Networking Mixer" at Chi's, one of the upscale restaurants on San Francisco's Pier 39. Among the 130 local film professionals were DGA members, members of the Bay Area Women in Film & Television (a chapter of Women in Film & Television International), representatives from the Bay Area Film Alliance and a representative from San Francisco Supervisor Michaela Alioto-Pier's Office. They were welcomed by members and officers of the Executive Committee – Paul Martin, Hiro Narita, David Hakim, Rufus Pederson, and Bob Mooney – as well as DGA Assistant Executive Director Rodney Mitchell.
