The DGA Ethnic Diversity Steering Committee recently hosted "Inside the Director's Guild: Diverse Voices" at the Guild's New York headquarters. The evening included a screening of the baseball comedy Mr. 3000, followed by a Q&A with the director Charles Stone, III.

"This is a series we're launching and tonight is our inaugural night. We're getting minority filmmakers who are renowned for their work and have them come and share their experiences with us in an open forum."

"I'm honored they want to screen the film. I think that's very very cool. I like to hear and be a part of what's going on with the Committee, what it is they're doing.

"I want to do films that involve people of color. I'm in love with actors like Ed Harris and Julianne Moore and a lot of other actors who are not of color. But if it involves science-fiction that will specifically be people of color because as a child, and the child who's still in me, yearns to see Star Wars and stuff like that with people of color."
