On Monday, July 23, the membership screening featured Director Kasi Lemmons' Talk To Me, based on the true story of Washington D.C. radio personality Ralph "Petey" Greene, an ex-con who became a popular talk show host and community activist in the 1960s. Immediately following the screening, the African American Steering Committee (AASC) hosted a discussion with Lemmons about the making of the film, moderated by her husband, Director Vondie Curtis-Hall.
