| Created by the Urbanworld Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to redefining the role of minorities in contemporary cinema and develop the urban filmmaking community, the 9th Annual Urbanworld Film Festival recently ran for five days in New York City. As always, the festival included feature, documentary, short film, and music video screenings, as well as panel discussions, live staged screenplay readings and other events. A sponsor of the festival, the DGA once again hosted a luncheon for festival filmmakers where DGA Director members Malcolm D. Lee and Charles Stone, III spoke to emerging directors about the advantages of DGA membership. |
