The Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP) Show celebrated its fourteenth incarnation by returning to its original home at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. An official sponsor of the AICP Show, the DGA hosted a luncheon for Commercial Directors honored by the gala.

In addition to having the rare opportunity to discuss commercial directing with their peers, participants at the luncheon also treated to a preview screening of the AICP’s The Art & Technique of the American Television Commercial, a one-hour plus compendium of the best spots of the previous year selected by 400 judges across the country, including a blue-ribbon curatorial panel composed of distinguished members of the industry from production companies, advertising agencies, and editorial shops, among others. Honors went to up to three commercials in each of 24 categories. The show now becomes a part of the permanent collection of MoMA’s Department of Film and Media, and will now go on tour to museums and cultural institutions around the country and abroad.
