The DGA’s African American Steering Committee recently hosted an evening where DGA Director-members Henry Chan (King of Queens), Dianne Houston (NYPD Blue) and Oz Scott (Kevin Hill) shared the table with invited actors Gary Dourdan (C.S.I), CCH Pounder (The Shield) and Tom Wright (Barbershop 2: Back in Business) in a spirited discussion of what a director looks for in casting and working with actors, and what actors need from a director in order to deliver their best work. The discussion was moderated by DGA Board Member Carl Weathers, an actor/director. |
