DGA Midwestern Executive Director Daniel Moore conducted a membership meeting in Nashville, Tennessee on Tuesday, March 7, 2006.

The purpose of the meeting was to update Tennessee members about the Guild’s ongoing organizing and field activities in Tennessee, report on the impact of Runaway Production and the Guild’s effort to combat this problem on a national and regional level, provide reports on recent and upcoming DGA and industry negotiations, and provide information on the DGA-Producer Pension and Health Plans. Moore and the members also discussed the state of the Guild and how the Guild can address issues and problems confronting members in the area.

Additionally, Moore paid a visit to the set of the basic cable variety program Nashville Star which was recently signed to a Guild Agreement. While on set Moore met with Director Michael Simon and Stage Manager Members Donna Parker and Kristi Smith. While in Nashville, Moore also met with DGA Commercial Company Stray Dog and Tennessee IATSE Representative Peter Kurland.
