The Industry Wide Labor-Management Safety Committee has published a new safety bulletin covering guidelines for inclement and severe weather conditions. This bulletin identifies the safety considerations that should be addressed when working outdoors in areas where there is a potential for thunderstorms, lightning, flash flooding, extreme winds, large hail, tornadoes and hurricanes. The bulletin reviews the causes of each weather condition, then outlines the potential hazards, and makes suggestions for possible actions.

To obtain a copy of this new bulletin, log onto the Contract Services Administration Trust Fund website at http://www.csatf.org and scroll down to Safety Bulletin # 38 "Guidelines for Inclement or Severe Weather." Or you can get to the CSATF site via the Safety Bulletin links on the links area of www.dga.org, or the homepage of the members only website.

Please note that the safety bulletins are in PDF format and require Adobe Acrobat Reader to download and access.
