DGA Magazine VOL 28-3: September 2003
At this year's Sundance Filmmaker receptions hosted by the DGA, the Guild's Independent Directors Committee (IDC) members mingled with festival participants at events held in Los Angeles on December 14 and in New York on December 16.

IDC West Chair Stephen Gyllenhaal welcomed the members of West Coast reception along with Sundance representatives Geoff Gilmore, John Cooper and Elizabeth Richardson. DGA director member Patricia Cardoso also provided insight into her festival circuit experience and participated in a Q&A session with audience members.

The New York reception on December 16, featured remarks from DGA National Vice President Steven Soderbergh and Sundance's John Cooper. IDC East members including Marc Levin and Dan Algrant were also onhand to impart wisdom to festival participants.
