On Thursday, November 10, 2005, the DGA invited new Directors, AD/UPMs and AD/SM/PA category members to a special orientation at the Guild headquarters in Los Angeles.

Led by DGA First Vice President Paris Barclay, DGA Director-members Jon Turteltaub and Katy Garretson, AD/UPM/TC Council and AD/SM/PA Council members, and DGA staff, the event provided the new recruits an informal setting to meet with the leadership and veteran members of their Guild and discover more about the many benefits and activities their membership provides.
