Dan Cooperbey (Director) grew up in NYC Public Housing in The Bronx and Harlem. He was accepted to the HS of Art & Design to study commercial art. Right after HS school he served in the US Army. He later on, attended Pratt Institute, School of Visual Arts and NYU. Dan's creative and marketing skills launch a successful career in the advertising business as an art director and creative director. He also worked as a creative director on CTW Sesame Street and other creative marketing companies. From advertising to commercial directing. Dan was one of the few African American's that launches a career as a commercial director during a difficult time for minorities. As a DGA member he supported the goals for DGA and held a Co-Chair position for the Guilds (EDSC) Eastern Diversity Steering Committee, a voice for our minority members. Dan has shadowed a number of TV shows and is very interested in directing episodic TV.
