Here, among other items, you will find a list of your elected representatives for the coming year. These are your fellow AD/UPM members who will be representing the interests of your categories in the Directors Guild. Please feel free to contact any of these individuals with questions regarding the Guild, Council, or Committees, work-related problems you may be having, or situations you feel need to be discussed. If they cannot answer your questions, they will direct you to someone who can.

Your Council coordinates the activities of several hard-working committees. These committees deal with current issues and problems facing Assistant Directors, Unit Production Managers and Technical Coordinators. Issues such as safety on the set, currency training, new technology, and mentoring are addressed through these committees. I encourage all of you to become involved in our many subcommittees. You can find out just what these committees are doing by attending one of the monthly council meetings or check out the committee descriptions here on the website. Council meetings are open to all AD/UPM members. They are not only informative (and often entertaining), but are also a great way to meet your DGA peers. The Western AD/UPM Council meets the first Wednesday of every month at 8:00 pm. A buffet dinner is served starting at 7:00 pm for those who would like to come early to mix, mingle and network with other members or your categories.

Preserving the strength and integrity of your Guild is an obligation and the responsibility of each one of us, so let's get involved.
