NEW YORK – Directors Guild of America President Taylor Hackford made the following statement expressing the DGA’s strong opposition to California Proposition 32, which, if passed, would effectively prevent unions from participating in political activity in California:
“The Directors Guild of America stands together with our fellow guilds and unions at SAG-AFTRA, WGAW, IATSE and others in emphatically opposing Prop. 32 and urging our members to vote NO on this deceptive and misleading effort to prevent union members from having their voices heard in Sacramento.”
