As part of the Guild’s ongoing efforts to serve members residing outside Los Angeles and New York, on May 7 DGA Eastern Executive Director Neil J. Dudich and Field Representative Faith Santilla conducted a meeting and dinner in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The evening provided an opportunity for members from several southern states to network with their peers, meet DGA staff, and learn what the Guild is doing to protect and extend their creative and economic rights. Breaking from the usual way these meetings are conducted, instead of delivering formal reports Dudich and Santilla held conversations with the attending members in a social setting in order to get a better reading on how the Guild is doing in this region, find out what could be improved, and answer member questions.
