On November 12, DGA members who work and reside in the region attended a DGA membership meeting and dinner in Boston, MA. 23 members from all over New England came to network with their peers, meet DGA staff, and hear what the Guild is doing to protect and extend their creative and economic rights.
The meeting was part of the Guild’s ongoing efforts to serve members residing outside Los Angeles and New York. DGA Associate Eastern Executive Director Neil J. Dudich, reported on the current state of the Guild and its activities, and gave the attendees information about the DGA contracts, the pension and health plans, and the Guild’s commitment to increasing its presence in the field via the DGA Field Reps.
The attending Members were also invited to contribute to the discussion about the issues relative to working in the area and have their questions addressed by Dudich and DGA Field Rep Emily Patterson.
Over the past year, the Guild has also conducted regional meetings in Albuquerque, Atlanta, Chicago, London, New Orleans, San Francisco and Washington, DC.
