As part of the Guild’s ongoing efforts to serve members residing outside Los Angeles and New York, Associate Eastern Executive Director Neil J. Dudich, together with Senior Field Representative Bart Daudelin, recently conducted the second annual DGA membership meeting and dinner in Atlanta, Georgia on May 9.
With film and television production in Georgia still operating at an all-time high, the meeting provided an opportunity for these members to network with their peers, meet DGA staff, and hear what the Guild is doing to protect and extend their creative and economic rights.
Nearly 50 members from several southern states were in attendance as Dudich reported on the current state of the Guild and its activities, and gave them information about the DGA contracts, the pension and health plans, and the Guild’s commitment to increasing its presence in the field via the DGA Field Reps.
In his address, Daudelin, urged the attendees to celebrate their membership and take advantage of all the Guild has to offer. Members were also invited to contribute to the discussion during an open forum section where questions were answered and comments welcomed.
