SFCC Elects New Officers & Executive Committee

The DGA San Francisco Coordinating Committee (SFCC) members re-elected 2nd AD John M. Morse to continue serving as Committee Chair. Also re-elected were UPM Kathleen M. Courtney as Vice Chair, UPM Michael D. Jones as Secretary, and 2nd AD Zachary Keyworth as Treasurer.

Director Frank Zamacona, UPM Frank Simeone, 1st AD Jani Vournas and 2nd ADs Rachel Caproni and Jerremy Stewart will join Morse, Courtney, Jones and Keyworth as members of the SFCC Executive Committee.


SFCCJOHN M. MORSE

A graduate of the University of Vermont, Morse found himself drawn to assistant directing after becoming fascinated with the job on Francis Ford Coppola’s feature Tucker: The Man and His Dream where he was working as a background actor. After completing the DGA-Producer Assistant Directors Training Program, he went on to build an impressive career as an AD on features such as Blue Jasmine, Rent, Edtv, The Matrix Reloaded, Smokin' Aces, Twister, and Wayne's World 2; and episodic television series such as Revolution, Trauma, Parenthood and Nash Bridges. Representing his fellow DGA members, Morse spoke at the June 14, 2014 California Film and Television Production Alliance rally held in support of AB 1839, the California Film and Television Job Retention and Promotion Act. Morse has been a DGA member since 1993.


SFCCKATHLEEN M. COURTNEY

Courtney’s resume includes working as ta UPM on features such as Wayne Wang’s Because of Winn-Dixie, Frank Oz’s The Score, and Brad Peyton’s upcoming release San Andreas. She has been a member since 2000.

 

 


SFCCMICHAEL D. JONES

Jones’s resume includes working as a UPM on features such as Sisters, Killing Winston Jones and Management. He has been a member since 2007.

 


SFCCZACHARY KEYWORTH

Keyworth has worked as an Assistant Director on series such as Bones and Fear Clinic and features such as Little Blue Pill and Kill Katie Malone. He also spoke at the June 14, 2014 California Film and Television Production Alliance rally. Keyworth has been a DGA member since 2009.


About the Committee:

The San Francisco Coordinating Committee was formed in 1978 to coordinate Guild activities in the Bay Area. The Committee hosts a number of educational presentations and networking events during the year, in order to fulfill its objectives of facilitating the exchange of ideas, maintaining contacts with other guilds and unions, and furthering professional opportunities for all Northern California DGA members.
