In our on-going efforts to provide our Eastern members with the optimum film viewing experience, the DGA is upgrading the air conditioning systems of the New York Theater and reception area during the months of June, July and August of 2013.
These upgrades will include the installation of a new building management system that will more efficiently control the building and theater’s environmental and utility systems. These state of the art, energy-efficient air conditioning and ventilation systems will provide a much more comfortable theater and reception experience. The DGA will also be making additional improvements to the below-grade mechanical vaults that house the main electrical switch gear and gas, water and steam service.
Once completed, these improvements will not only better serve our members during DGA screenings and events, but also make our New York Theater the top-of-the-line in comfort and convenience.

The Academy Theater at Lighthouse International is the East Coast home of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Public parking garages are located near the screening room. For public transportation take the N, Q, R, 4, 5, 6 to 59th Street/Lexington Avenue.
