A mild-mannered teacher tries to avoid getting beat up by a fearsome co-worker in Director Richie Keen’s new comedy feature, Fist Fight.
Keen’s film tells the story of high school teacher Andy Campbell (Charlie Day) who inadvertently causes the school's toughest and most feared teacher Ron Strickland (Ice Cube), to get fired on the last day of the year. Challenged to a fight by the angered Strickland, Campbell is desperate to avoid his impending doom as news of the showdown spreads across the campus like wildfire.
Following the February 20 DGA membership screening in Los Angeles, Keen sat down with Director Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses and the upcoming Baywatch feature) to discuss the making of Fist Fight.
In addition to Fist Fight, Keen’s credits include the movies for television Kings by Night, Living with Abandon and Below the Law; the pilot for the television series Teachers; and episodes of the television series The Goldbergs, Maron, The Comedians, Sirens, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Keen has been a DGA member since 2009.
