AASC - How to Make Your Day

How to Make Your Day

May 10, 2014 An African American Steering Committee Panel Discussion

Practical ideas for running an efficient set were explored when the DGA African American Steering Committee (AASC) hosted the panel discussion, How to Make Your Day, following their regular monthly meeting in the Guild’s Los Angeles Boardroom on May 10.

After an introduction by DGA President Paris Barclay, Directors Anthony Hemingway (Shameless) and Janice Cooke (Hart of Dixie), UPM Heidi McGowen (Silicon Valley), and 1st AD Van Hayden (Real Husbands of Hollywood) shared their knowledge and experience on the craft of making a complete workday, and discussed the various techniques they employ to go about making their days collectively and individually. The conversation was moderated by Director/AASC Co-Chair Carl Seaton (Karim), after which the panelists answered questions from the audience.
